How to cover up leaving 10 minutes late!
Very nice.
A lot of good things happening at RocketLab lately. There is a really positive feeling around where the company is heading and the successes they are demonstrating.
That is honestly insane.
In NZ the sticker price is what you pay, if the price on the sticker doesn’t include tax, it is false advertising and you pay what is on the sticker.
It is entirely up to the retailer to ensure that the price is correct. The only exception to this, is if the price is obviously wrong e.g. $5.00 rather than $500.
Depending on overheads, your time has to be worth between 1.8 - 2.2x your compensation. For the company to make money and stay in business, it has to charge above this amount.
But if your company is charging you out at 4x your compensation, they are making a massive amount off your time. A reasonable amount would be aroung 2.1 - 2.5x your compensation.
As an anecdote, my little brother finished his architecture degree after being a builder for years. He had both the practical skill from building and the eye of an artist. He got a job at a very prestigious firm. It wasn’t long before they saw how good he was, even though he was a grad his charge out rate was $180/hr. I asked how much of his time was billable, it was not as you would expect for a grad, his time was 100% billable work, he was being paid $25/hr. I was shocked, after trying to negotiate with the firm for a year he got a pay rise to $30/hr. It was only a month later he quit and started his own business, he charges much less than previously for the same work and he makes significantly more.
The pictures don’t show any reason why this should be closed.
It looks like a huge gap between the cycleway and the tracks. If the level crossing needs work, why close 1.5km of cycleway?
That is really cool.
She was removed today.
So kicking and screaming then.
The problem is not “Syncthing users” it is the others that we bring along with us.
I already have F-Droid on my phone, but the dozen others that I have promoted Syncthing to over the years do not. This is going to cause a bunch of problems.
This is much more important than what you portray here.
But it was all my husbands fault, I didn’t do it myself. You can’t prove anything!
I think she will have to be kicked out, she will not resign with the scrap of dignity that she has remaining.
There is also the growing awareness, that you shouldn’t send sick kids to school.
My 8yo had a flu, was off school for 8 days until he felt well enough. That was one incident…if you have a one bad sickness and a couple of minor ones throughout the term, you are going to hit your 15 days pretty quickly.
He actually went back to school a day earlier than I would have liked, because he was missing his friends; and he was mostly better.
Some families are sending their sick kids to school; they simply cannot afford to miss work. This causes issues for others. This happens every year, worst in winter.
Maybe if we encouraged kids to be at school, making it easy to get there and feeding the ones who don’t have enough food…supporting the families in need. Na, lets just punish our way out of the problems. NB the beatings will continue until morale improves.
Great news.
Neutron on track; nice!
